The Capital is be-sieged and burning. Hunger and disease have taken their toll. Many mothers, left with no food have resorted to cannibalism and eaten their children during the year long siege. Many of the beleaguered defenders are sick and in rags. With winter coming can they hold out much longer? Not likely. The rest of the nation has already fallen, most of it in the first ninety day. The great nation to the north has also fallen. The war having taken a huge toll on their population of almost seventy-five percent, with the remainder taken into captivity. Our capital will surely go down in defeat next. This is truly an awful day.
You say, "This could never happen in America!" Oh? This is exactly what happened to Israel and Judah about 2500 years ago. This all came about as a result of God's judgment. What prompted God to give them to such awful destruction and then to captivity? They killed their unwanted children on the funeral fires that they were burning to the heathen god Moloc.
