Dave Nettles Gospel Music Marriage Positional Policy Statement

Whereas, and given the place of honor and holiness that marriage is given in the Bible, Dave Nettles Gospel Music, under the leadership of independent minister David P Nettles, ordained by the Church of Living Water, adopts the following Marriage Positional Statement with regard to the application of the resources and any ministerial staff of Dave Nettles Gospel Music in the realm of Marriage.

In Mark 10:2-9, Jesus clearly states that God's view of marriage is the holy union of a man and a woman. Clearly, God's plan was that marriage involved a man and a woman. Therefore it is the biblical belief of Dave Nettles Gospel Music that marriage is to be a monogamous, heterosexual covenant entered into by a man and woman with God. No other relationship can be deemed a marriage in God's sight and this ministry will not recognize, participate in or support any other concept of marriage.

It is hereby stated as the official policy of Dave Nettles Gospel Music that ministers performing marriage under the auspices of Dave Nettles Gospel Music may only perform marriages between a man and a woman. Furthermore the Senior/Lead Minister of Dave Nettles Gospel Music shall be granted full and final authority, at his/her discretion, to approve or disapprove all inquires as to the suitability of any and all couples, seeking marriage ceremonies to be performed within this this ministry. Addionally, be it understood that this written Policy Statement has been the unwritten practice and principle of Dave Nettles Gospel Music since the founding of this ministry.
